Transform Your Attraction: How to Bring More of What You Want into Your Life

Introduction:

Do you ever wonder why, despite your best efforts, you just seem to attract more of what you don’t want in your life?

Here are some examples I’ve helped people with:

You work really hard to find new clients for your business, but the more you do, the worse your results seem to be.

You’ve worked with the same company for many years but are continually overlooked for promotion, but you notice that they consistently promote newer people with less experience than you.

You have a dream to travel and spend time in a certain country, and have been trying to save the money to go for months (or even years) but there always seems to be a financial emergency that forces you to spend what you’ve saved.

There can be many contributing factors affecting your ability to attract what you want, but the one thing that is certain is that vibrationally, you are either not a match for what you want and/or you are putting your energy and focus on the wrong things.

You’re definitely not alone – this can happen to any of us.

It’s such a common experience and can obviously be quite frustrating. The good news is, with a little awareness and practice, you can shift this pattern and start attracting what you truly desire.

Why We Often Attract What We Don’t Want

Your thoughts and emotions are powerful attractors. They influence your vibrational frequency, which determines what you attract.

It’s so easy to unknowingly focus on fears and doubts, which then manifest in your reality. This happens because the subconscious mind cannot distinguish between what we fear and what we want; it simply brings into our lives whatever we focus on most intensely – matching our vibrational frequency.

For example, if you constantly worry about financial insecurity, you may find yourself in situations that reinforce this fear, even if what you truly desire is abundance, security and financial frequency.

Or you may want a relationship with a certain person to improve, but you can’t help thinking about what they’ve said or done to you in the past that hurt or upset you, and you just know they will do it again. With those thoughts in the back of your mind, the relationship can’t improve.

There has to be a shift in your energy. If finances are the concern, you want to focus, not only on what you want, but also on the progress you’re making, and how you’ll feel when you are in a better financial position. You also want to focus on being grateful for what you already have – then you’re shifting your vibrational frequency to a higher level, which you want to continually maintain and improve.

For the relationship to improve, you have to make up your mind, and set the intention that you will leave any interaction with this person feeling great. You’ll want to remind yourself that you are in control of how you feel, and this person has no real power over you. No matter what they say or do, you get to decide how you feel, and you can choose to realize that you don’t have to take it personally. This is what will improve the relationship – because you change your vibration by changing how you feel, and taking your power back, instead of giving it away to them.

Steps to Shift Your Frequency and Attraction

  1. Identify and Acknowledge Fears: Take time to become aware of what fears are most active in different areas of your life. Acknowledging these fears is the first step in releasing their hold on you. They are very often hidden, and so it takes a willingness and commitment to deeper levels of self-awareness to become aware of them.

  2. Shift Your Focus: Begin to consciously redirect your thoughts toward what you want rather than what you don't want. This can be challenging, but with practice, it does become easier. Try visualizing your desires as if they are already a reality. A good way to start might be by saying to yourself something like: “even though X has happened to me in the past, now I’m ready and willing to move beyond it.”

  3. Positive Affirmations: Use positive affirmations to reinforce your new focus. For instance, instead of thinking, "I don't want to be in debt," shift to, "I am becoming more financially secure and attracting more abundance." “I’m so grateful for what I have and am open to receiving more.” Can you feel the difference? When you say “I don’t want…” you’re coming from a vibration of lack and fear, and when you say “I am becoming..” and “I am grateful for…” you are coming from a vibration of success and possibility.

  4. Gratitude Practice: Focusing on gratitude can transform your mindset. Regularly acknowledging what you are grateful for shifts your focus from lack to abundance, which greatly improves your vibration, helping you to attract more of what you appreciate into your life. Sometimes it may seem as though your mind consistently notices things you don’t like or don’t want. To practice active gratitude, constantly be on the lookout for things to be grateful for. Even the small, everyday things you usually take for granted. Regularly and consistently express your gratitude and you will find that you have more and more to be grateful for.
