Let Go and Embrace New Beginnings

What Are You Tolerating That Doesn't Serve You?

“A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there.” - John Assaraf

Introduction:

Sometimes you can feel as though life is pushing you towards change you hadn’t asked for. This often happens when you are holding on to situations that no longer serve you – and perhaps never did. It’s so easy to become stuck in patterns that feel safe, because they are familiar, and yet they leave you feeling drained and unfulfilled.

It’s easy to become stuck in patterns that feel safe but keep you feeling drained and unfulfilled.

What Are You Tolerating?

Some of the ways this might show up are:

  • Relationships that feel draining, and when you feel you are not valued or supported.

  • Feelings of frustration or lack of fulfilment in certain life situations, for example in the work that you do.

  • You find things that used to work well for you don’t work in the same way anymore, no matter what you do.

  • Familiar things start falling apart or going away, for example a job loss, or a person you used to be close to leaves you, or suddenly starts ghosting you.

  • You feel as though things are constantly going wrong, for example, vehicles or appliances break down, or you have accidents, such as breaking things, tripping, falling, or car accidents.

It can feel as though nothing is going right for you and things seem to be going from bad to worse.

These are all signs that you must pay attention – there is something about you and your current life that needs to change.

Change

For example, many of us mistake comfort for security. We hold onto relationships, habits, and mindsets that weigh us down because they feel familiar. The real issue isn’t the discomfort of change; it’s the fear of the unknown.

I've had this experience many times in my life, and now I've learned to embrace change, rather than resisting it. Even when it feels uncomfortable because of the unknown. Resisting only causes more pain.

Clients often begin working with me because of one issue - perhaps they want to improve their career or business. What they find is that the inner work they do results in positive improvements in many other areas, such as relationships, finances and health too.

When Shannon came to me, she was feeling exhausted and frustrated with her life, but the main focus in the beginning was her business. Here's what she said after we worked together:

“When I first came to Linda I was in a state of chaos. Everything seemed like it was in turmoil to different degrees, my house, my marriage, my business. After coaching from Linda, things began to change in small ways. My life wasn’t so chaotic. I became clearer on what I needed to do and who I needed to be to make things change and that I was fully capable of making those changes in my life if I set my mind to it. I had a new way of looking at my life and really started to see progress. My relationship with my husband is much healthier now as I was ready to throw in the towel...I was so angry. My business had its biggest quarter ever and continues to thrive and my house is a much more enjoyable place to be. I can’t say enough about Linda’s coaching. She is phenomenal and won’t allow you to “stay small” for long!”

What we worked on together was what she needed to change about herself. Life was in chaos, but why? It was because there were things within her that needed to change.

Solution

The solution is to embrace change as something that is happening FOR you, not to you.

Recognize that letting go of what doesn’t serve you creates space for new opportunities and growth.

Steps to Release What Doesn’t Serve You

  1. Identify the Patterns:
Reflect on any areas of your life where you feel frustrated, stuck or unfulfilled.
Journal about what you’re tolerating that drains your energy.

  2. Embrace the Discomfort:
Understand that change can be uncomfortable, but it's a sign of growth.
Practice self-compassion as you navigate these feelings.

  3. Take Small Steps:
    Start with small, manageable changes.
Celebrate each step forward, no matter how small.

Summary:

By following these steps, you’ll start to feel lighter and more aligned with your true self. Letting go isn’t easy, but it’s the key to unlocking a life filled with joy and purpose.

Many people are experiencing changes like this right now. I believe it’s because of global energy shifts that are happening. We’re coming to a point where we can no longer settle for what doesn’t feed and support our growth.

You are meant for more – are you ready?
